New-look museum opens on Sunday Museum makeover: ,Museum committee vice-president Jill Earley says the alteration will increase security for valuable collections. By DELWYN DICKEY The Albertland museum in Wellsford opens its doors this Sunday to show off renovations that have seen the original verandah converted into offices and much needed storage space. Costing about $25,000, the upgrade includes a new security system, museum committee vice- president Jill Earley says. An extensive collection of material not always on display includes many glass photographic plates of families and events from the begin- ning of last century. While the new area has been welcomed, a further investment in a compact sliding storage system will also be needed in the future, Ms Earley says. The museum opens from noon until 4pm on Sunday with tea and cof- fee provided. It is in the Wellsford War Memorial Park behind McDonald s, with the road entrance off State Highway 16.
