' Linda Atchinson Teacher Kathy Shine-Southgate of Silverdale receives this week's bouquet from Flowers by Joanne. The staff at Penny's Place Childcare believe Kathy is a very deserv- ing recipient of the Thanks a Bunch bou- quet,'' teacher Linda Atchinson says. Kathy has taken over care of her three young great-grandchildren due to a family member's ill- ness. She always comes into the centre with a smile on her face. Life is not easy for Kathy, juggling the demands of three young children along with the well-being of other fam- ily members, but some- how she manages with a steely determination and a deep belief that family comes first. Thanks a bunch Kathy.'' Santa arrives by sea Jolly Santa: Omaha junior surf club members gather around to greet Santa. Santa ditched his rein- deer and sleigh for an inflatable rescue boat to get to Omaha beach for the surf club's junior Christmas party. It was a fantastic and very memorable day, with the jukebox and a new clubhouse deck to enjoy,'' Omaha surf club junior surf co-ordinator Nicola Patterson says. The day featured lamb on the spit, bouncy castles on the beach, and a sack full of presents from Santa.
