The inaugural Orewa Beach Dash for Cash should bring something a little bit different to Orewa on Saturday, January 15. The organisers have modelled the event on the North Shore Wag and Walk but with a big difference. Along with doggies and their caregivers, there will be babies and buggies, bikes and trikes and runners and walkers of all ages trekking their way down Orewa Beach. On their return every- one will collect an envel- ope with a spot prize gift. The event will support a different local charity group or club each year. The Orewa Sea Scouts are first up and will be there with an expo and information marquee.
